Contributing Artist Spotlight: Tim Riegel
There would be no Art for Arf’s Sake without the incredible artwork donated by renowned local artists and makers.
Today we want to highlight one of our contributing artists, Tim Riegel. His passion for drawing and painting started in grade school and has grown stronger ever since. Tim was always sketching outside direct from nature and took Saturday and evening classes at the Wyomissing Art Institute to hone his talents.
Wildlife, nature and rural landscapes with barns and farms have always fascinated him and has inspired him to paint.
Growing up, Tim spent a lot of time on his grandparent’s farm in Berks County and cabin in rural Potter County. Both places were great inspiration to sketch and photograph ideas for paintings.
For Tim, the joy of completing a painting or mural that people can enjoy is truly rewarding. To see the reaction of little kids especially, when they see a big wall painted with scenery is a personal satisfaction money can’t buy.
Thank you Tim for sharing your talents and passion with us. The funds raised from the sale of your donated piece will directly provide vital resources and care for homeless, abused, abandoned, and neglected animals in our community.
