Reading – At noon Monday, Oct. 15, Reading Public Library will present a program featuring the business ideas of 12 aspiring entrepreneurs who have completed an intensive course on basic business preparation.
The public is invited to hear future Latino businesspeople present their visions for new ventures in the city of Reading; people interested in investing in local startups are encouraged to attend.
The business training course, created by Reading Public Library in partnership with the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, was designed to empower and build leadership skills in Latinos as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Yamil Sanchez Rivera, vice president of Community Impact for United Way of Berks County, will present words of advice and encouragement.
The event will be held at Main Library, 100 S. Fifth St. Refreshments will be provided; registration is not required.
