A free event for parents and teens
SUMMERDALE – Central Penn College will host a talk on social media safety for parents and teens on Wednesday, October 17, 6–9 p.m. The free event will feature presentations by professors in the college’s Communications department.
Attendees will learn the right and wrong ways to use social media. Topics to be covered include:
- Staying safe on social media
- Reputation management
- Proper online etiquette
“Social media has many benefits, but also many risks,” says Tom Davis, program chair, English & Communication. “We know many parents and students have questions about social media and online safety, and our professors will be there to provide answers and share best practices.”
