KUTZTOWN – Kutztown University track & field head coach Ray Hoffman has announced the additions of Steven Morgan and Trevor Stutzman to the coaching staff.

Morgan comes to Kutztown from fellow Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) member East Stroudsburg University, where he competed in the hurdles and graduated in 2017. Morgan won the PSAC Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year that season after an 11th place finish in the 110-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in May. That result earned him second team All-America accolades.

“I’m very excited and grateful to have gotten this opportunity from Kutztown to allow me to coach in the PSAC,” said Morgan. “I am very familiar with the conference since I ran at East Stroudsburg. I’m very eager to meet the team and get started.”

Added Hoffman, “We are thrilled to have Steve join the Kutztown track & field program,” said Hoffman. “In his young coaching career, Steve has had tremendous success with his athletes. I look forward to Steve bringing his passion, knowledge and enthusiasm to Golden Bear track and field.”

Stutzman is familiar with the area, having graduated from Kutztown High School before finishing a four-year career at Messiah College. He was a two-time All-American in the shot put in indoor, and also earned All-America status in outdoor as a junior.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to coach at Kutztown and be a part of the program,” said Stutzman. “The throws group has a lot of talent and I can’t wait to see where it can go.”

Added Hoffman, “Trevor brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our throws program,” Hoffman said. “In his short time at the University of Toledo he produced some of the top throwers in program history. I have no doubt that Trevor will continue the tradition of producing some of the top throwers in the PSAC as well as in Division II track & field.”
