BLOOMSBURG – Joseph Kinek from Blandon was one of 17 members of the Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania Phi Beta Lambda Chapter (Future Business Leaders of America) to attend the organization’s annual leadership conference in Baltimore from June 22-27.
The BU students qualified for the national competition that featured more than 1,200 students after finishing third or better in their event at the state level.
Qualifiers for the national convention who placed in their events in Baltimore were Collin Schutjer; who won top honors Contemporary Sports Issues; Angela Bagnata, who placed fifth in Management Analysis and Decision Making; Alison Costello, who was ninth in Marketing Analysis and Decision Making; Sara Ford, who was ninth in Marketing Analysis and Decision Making and 10th in Strategic Analysis and Decision Making. Also, Patrick Hall, who placed third in Personal Finance; Mikayla Maher, who was seventh in Accounting Analysis and Decision Making; Bin Wang, who took seventh in Accounting Analysis and Decision Making; and Matthew Wolgemuth, who took fifth in Management Analysis and Decision Making and was 10th in Strategic Analysis and Decision Making.
Others in attendance in Baltimore were Tyler Blickley, Enrico Connors, Bryson Cromley, Krysta Hower. Allison Honabach, Joseph Kinek, Rachel Miller, Austin Robbins and Mackenna Shivley.
