Emma Jones Chosen to Participate in IWLCA Senior All-Star Game
ANNVILLE – The Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Association announced on Friday that Lebanon Valley’s Emma Jones of Sinking Spring has been selected to partake in the organization’s annual Division III North-South Senior All-Star game. The contest took place Saturday, June 2, at Tierney Field at the U.S. Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md.
Jones is just the fifth player in program history to be picked to play in the North-South All-Star game, joining Mel Modrick (2014), Anna Pagels (2015), Sam Boyce (2016), and Shelby Morris (2016). Jones is one of just four players from the MAC Commonwealth who was chosen to participate.
The senior put together an impressive season in her final year as a Dutchman. She led the team with 64 goals and was second on the squad with 79 points. She compiled a .838 shots-on-goal percentage, scored four game-winners to lead LVC, and ranked first on the squad with 27 free-position goals. Additionally, Jones picked up 29 ground balls, caused 24 turnovers to tie for first on the team, and controlled a team-best 59 draws. She was named IWLCA Second-Team All-Region for the third year in a row and MAC Commonwealth Second-Team All-Conference for her efforts.
Jones, a graduate of Governor Mifflin High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in biology.
