Fitts Leads Golden Bear Bowling at Day 1 of Pennsylvania Classic

LANCASTER, Pa. – Kutztown University senior Jenn Fitts(Birdsboro, Pa./Twin Valley) nearly averaged a 190 Saturday to lead the Kutztown University women’s bowling team to first place through the opening day of the Pennsylvania Classic in Lancaster.

Kutztown sits atop the standings with a six-game total of 5,054. KU’s JV team ranks second at 4,919, Penn State Berks is third at 4,884 and Delaware is fourth at 4,560.

Fitts averaged a team-high 189.3 Saturday for the Golden Bears. Angela Kozma (Beachwood, N.J./Toms River South) was also strong with a 180.6 average.

Felicia Trievel (Reading, Pa./Wilson) and Dana Henry (Oakhurst, N.J./Ocean Township) rounded out the top bowlers for KU Saturday with matching 177.5 averages.
