    Lebanon Valley College introduces Pride of The Valley Marching Band students

    Homecoming Weekend 2015 Pride of the Valley Marching Band

    Lebanon Valley College’s Pride of The Valley Marching Band will feature 135 students this year. The marching band performs at all home football games as well as appearances at various exhibitions throughout the fall semester.

    Local students participating in marching band include:

    Daniel Behler of Leesport, a graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in music education and music at The Valley.

    Bethany Hepner of Leesport, a graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in actuarial science at The Valley.

    Krystal Nolte of Lenhartsville, a graduate of Kutztown Area High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in music education at The Valley.

    Angela Fleig of Reading, a graduate of Reading Senior High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in psychology and sociology at The Valley.

    Brianna Metsger of Sinking Spring, a graduate of Wilson High School, is pursuing a bachelor of arts in English at The Valley.

    Jared Kramer of Sinking Spring, a graduate of Wilson High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in music education at The Valley.

    Justin Kripas of Womelsdorf, a graduate of Conrad Weiser High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in music education and audio and music production at The Valley.

    The Pride of The Valley Marching Band includes 135 students, both music and non-music majors representing almost every academic program on campus. The marching band performs at all home football games as well as appearances at various exhibitions throughout the fall semester.

    This year’s show “Endless Void – A Space Apocalypse” features the music: “Little” Fugue in G Minor by Johann Sebastian Bach, Enterprising Young Men from Star Trek by Michael Giacchino, All Along the Watchtower by Bob Dylan, Apocalypse by Bear McCreary, and Battle in the Mutara Nebula from Star Trek II by James Horner.

    Drum majors this year are Katelyn Neiswender, Eric Boyd, and Ashton Mooday.

    The Pride is under the direction of Dr. Christopher J. Heffner, associate professor of music.
