The Kutztown University women’s bowling team saw eight student-athletes earn recognition as members of the 2019 East Coast Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, representing the 2018-19 season.
KU was represented by Megan Bauter, Keanna Delp, Ashley Fister, Lauren Gudknecht, Laura Hartley, Dana Henry, Angela Kozma and Ella Luzzi.
The eight honorees is the most for the Golden Bears program since 2015.
The Commissioner’s Honor Roll is awarded to student-athletes who receive a 3.25 or better cumulative grade point average.
The octet were also recognized as Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes for the 2018-19 academic year, which includes maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher at the completion of the most recent academic year.
Kutztown ended the year with a 74-57 overall record, including eight wins over nationally-ranked opponents. The Golden Bears were one of the last six teams vying for the 2019 ECC Women’s Bowling Championship, and advanced to round six of the double elimination bracket, its deepest run since finishing as ECC runners-up in 2016.
