Reading Public Library to stage outdoor dance production

An original dance production, “Where the Trees Walk” will be held on The Steps at Main Library, 100 S. 5th St., Saturday, July 27, at noon. This fourth annual Storytelling through Dance presentation will tell the story of a child who is separated from her parents after the family flees their war-torn country.

For the fourth year, Barrio Alegria has partnered with Reading Public Library to engage community members through the arts, creating opportunities for participants to explore self-limiting beliefs and gain leadership skills. More than 45 participants will tell the story through 14 dance choreographies in this premiere performance. Live music will be provided by Musical Acts of Kindness Society featuring Matthew Bailey, Tony Veloz, and David Hall.

There is no charge for admission and seating is general admission on The Steps at Main.
