Colgate University announces spring 2018 Dean’s Award with Distinction

Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade during the spring 2018 semester earn the Dean’s Award with Distinction.

Among those included on the list are Reading residents Shelby Theisen, a graduate of Wyomissing Area High School and a member of the Colgate Class of 2021, majoring in biochemistry; and Nicholas Dennis, a graduate of Wyomissing Area High School and a member of the Colgate Class of 2019, majoring in neuroscience.

James Madison University announces spring 2018 graduates

James Madison University is pleased to announce the names of the students who graduated during the May 4, 2018, commencement exercises.

More than 4,400 students received undergraduate, master’s, educational specialist and doctoral degrees.

  • Kaitlyn Rose Showalter of Shillington graduated with a degree in communication studies
  • Lauren Elizabeth Hafer of Wyomissing graduated with a degree in engineering
  • Emily Marie Sottosanti of Sinking Spring graduated with a degree in health sciences
  • Sean Douglas Smith of Wyomissing graduated with a degree in kinesiology
  • Douglas Charles Schilling of Douglassville graduated with a degree in mathematics
  • Bernard Nicholas Donahue of Wyomissing graduated with a degree in sport and recreation management
