Students Participate in Active Minds club at Alvernia University

READING – Alvernia students participated in the Active Minds Club at Alvernia University in 2017-18. Active Minds empowers students to speak openly about mental health in order to educate others and encourage help-seeking. Through student-run events and national programs, Active Minds aims to remove the stigma that surrounds mental health issues, and create a comfortable environment for an open conversation about mental health issues on campuses nationwide.

  • Caroline Chisca of Reading was named a member while studying Psychology and is a graduate of Muhlenberg High School
  • Michelle Craciun of Mount Penn was named a member while studying Early Childhood Education Pre K-4 and is a graduate of Commonwealth Connections Academy
  • Brendan Curran of Reading was named a member while studying Medical Imaging
  • Brayden Eckert of Reading was named a member while studying Behavioral Health and is a graduate of Twin Valley High School
  • Nathan Marquez of Reading was named a member while studying Psychology and is a graduate of Fairview Christian School
  • Datnilza Metz of Reading was named a member while studying Business Management and is a graduate of Reading Senior High School
  • Klarissa Pierce of Fleetwood was named a member while studying Social Work and is a graduate of Fleetwood Area High School
  • Meredith Roth of Hamburg was named a member while studying Psychology and is a graduate of Hamburg Area High School
