Bowling Gets Seventh at FDU Jamboree

STRATFORD | The Kutztown University women’s bowling team won two of its three matches on Sunday, Day Three of the FDU Jamboree, and finished in seventh place out of 15 teams with an 8-4 overall mark from the weekend tournament.

The eight wins is the most by KU at the event since the 2013 season when it won nine.

The Golden Bears opened the day with a 926-874 loss to No. 22 Franklin Pierce in the bracket round. The Ravens also got the better of KU on day two, Saturday, Nov. 4.

The Maroon and Gold bounced back in their next match, defeating Felician for the second time over the weekend, by a 856-815 score.

In the third and final match of the event, KU took down Caldwell 877-805.

Angela Kozma led the KU lineup with a 19.9 frame average through 30 frames. Also through 30 frames, Keanna Delp held a 17.75 average, and Jenn Fitts had a 17.72 frame average through 27 frames.

Kutztown is now 20-7 overall on the season. KU returns to action on Friday, Nov. 17 at the UMES Hawk Classic.
